Check Out the New Training Program for SIUE Employees

We are introducing a new training program for SIUE employees.

We want to help you:

  • Improve your work skills
  • Prepare for promotion to a more responsible position with greater earning power
  • Boost your confidence, reduce your stress, and recharge your batteries

This training explores topics and tools that you can apply immediately.  You’ll have fun and learn from each other.  No books, no homework, no cost, no pressure.

We will offer 1-2 modules at a time, of two types:

For ALL employees: Knowledge & Skills Development modules such as Time management, Working with the Boss.

For supervisors/directors PLUS those interested in becoming a supervisor: Management Development modules such as Delegation, Leading Meetings.

The first module, “The Roles of a Leader,” will start in September. To express your opinion on the modules that you would prefer next, please complete this Training Preference Survey.

Modules will meet once a week for 90 minutes during normal working hours. Most will last 2-5 weeks. You don’t have to take all the modules to participate—choose those that interest you.

Please get your supervisor’s approval for release time—written approval is not required.

To register or to learn more, please visit http://www.siue.edu/human-resources/leadership/

Please contact Dave Heth with any questions at dheth@siue.edu.
