Office of Admissions to Host Students as Part of Camp College Program

The SIUE Office of Undergraduate Admissions is hosting 50 high school students participating in the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC) Camp College program through Friday, July 13.

Through Camp College, students will learn how to navigate a college fair, write an essay and identify which college is the best fit for them.

Please help us welcome these students to campus!

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Admissions at 650-3705.

Please Donate to the Career Development Center's Professional Attire Drive by July 13

Each year we have students that are in need of professional attire for interviews, career fairs, networking events and practicum/co-op/internship experiences.

Unfortunately, not all students have the resources to obtain the appropriate attire for these occasions. This can decrease students’ opportunities and self-esteem.

You can help! Ready to do a little cleaning in your closet?

The Career Development Center is planning to take donations of professional attire items through Friday, July 13 in preparation for the fall recruiting season.

We will be accepting both men’s and women’s attire. All items need to be in good condition, clean and ready to be given to students. We are hoping to get a variety of sizes and options, so we can make this service available to any student in need.

Items can include:
• Suits
• Dresses
• Skirts
• Dress Pants/Khakis
• Sweater sets
• Polos
• Blouses
• Belts
• Ties
• Anything that could be worn for a professional event with employers
• Anything that would be appropriate as a starting point for a professional wardrobe

Items can be dropped off at the Career Development Center (CDC), located in the basement of the Student Success Center, room 0281. Please drop off items during regular business hours from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday.

For more information, contact Carrie Smolar at 650-3708.
