Learn About Yoga, Course Begins June 5

The Office of Educational Outreach will offer the class, Yoga: History and Practice.

This beginning yoga class provides the history, fundamentals and principles of yoga. Participants will learn posture alignment, practice breath work through guided demonstration, and reap the benefits of yoga, including improved balance, physical strength, flexibility, relaxation, increased energy and better digestion.

5-6 p.m.
Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 5-July 5
SIUE Vadalabene Center, Room 2304

The cost is $85 for 10 sessions or $10 per session.

Green Dot is a comprehensive violence prevention program with objectives to decrease the likelihood of dating and domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault.

The education sessions’ intent is to train faculty and staff to endorse, model and support two Green Dot values:

  • Power-based personal violence is not tolerated in our campus community
  • Everyone will do their part to prevent violence 

Summer sessions are listed below.

Wednesday, June 13: 10-11:30 a.m., Woodland Hall MFR
Thursday, June 28: 10–11:30 a.m., Cougar Pavilion (second floor of Lukas Annex/Vadalabene Center)
Tuesday, July 10: 1–2:30 p.m., Mississippi-Illinois Room
Wednesday, July 18: 10–11:30 a.m., Mississippi-Illinois Room
