The University Museum presents the last week to view the exhibit, "Birdman Rising" at the Edwardsville Arts Center, on the campus of Edwardsville High School, 6165 Center Grove Rd.

This fascinating exhibit is curated by the SIUE University Museum, featuring Amerindian artifacts from the SIUE University Museum and photographic artworks by guest artist Jeff Thomas. Curated by Cory Willmott, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Anthropology.

The gallery is open the following hours:

Edwardsville’s Land of Goshen Community Market is collaborating with SIUE through the new food sustainability consortium and the Edwardsville/SIUE Community Destination Committee to host the farmers’ market to campus.

Video surveillance equipment is scheduled to be upgraded at the SIUE Morris University Center and on the Quad on the Edwardsville campus.

The new equipment will be used by Campus Police to protect students, reduce the risk of theft and reduce damage to property. The cameras will enhance the overall safety and security at the MUC and the Quad, and take advantage of evolving technology that allows for high quality cameras.

Two cameras will be installed on the Quad: one Quad Cam that will be directed at The Rock, and one Cougar Cam that will be directed at the Cougar outside the MUC. The Quad Cam and the Cougar Cam will be available as Web Cams so alumni can see what’s happening at SIUE anytime, and students can wave to their friends and families all over the world.

In accordance with Section II (F) of the University’s Video Surveillance Policy, Vice Chancellor for Administration Rich Walker has approved the installation of the additional security equipment.
