The Exercise Science Club, along with the Food and Nutrition Club, is once again holding their annual “Commit to be Fit” competition for all faculty and staff.

This friendly competition encourages our SIUE faculty and staff to be active by competing as teams of five-seven to accrue active fitness minutes each week.

Want to know more? There will be three optional informational sessions held:

11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 6

Research recommends 150 minutes of moderate activity per week as a minimum, and this is a great opportunity to work up to that level or to exceed it based on your goals! Moderate exercise includes activities such as brisk walking, biking or dancing just to name a few.

Some things to know:
• You can form your own team with co-workers or friends on campus (teams do not have to be from within the same department)
• Graduate / Teaching Assistants are welcome to participate
• If you DO NOT have a team, but want to participate, you will be assigned to a team randomly
• Each team will be assigned a student coach from the Exercise Science or Nutrition Undergraduate Programs or the Exercise Physiology Graduate Program to help with goal setting, motivation and accountability.
• The competition officially begins on Monday, Feb. 26-Monday, April 16.
• The last day to sign up is Wednesday, Feb. 14, so don’t delay and get your team registered today!

Still have questions? You can email them to the above email address and the C2BF organizers will get back to you with an answer!
