Chancellor Randy Pembrook Gives His First Address to the University Today

Please accept this invitation to Chancellor Pembrook’s first address to the University. Chancellor Pembrook will address the campus community:

SIUE's Society for Women Engineers (SWE) teamed up with Ameren and Dress For Success to provide free professional attire to students. Stop by the Engineering Building Hairpin:

Godfrey died during the weekend from injuries sustained in an ATV accident in Calhoun County, Illinois. The Elgin native was 22.

A criminal justice/pre-law major, who was on track to graduate in December, Godfrey also served as the manager for the SIUE wrestling team. As an intramural supervisor, she was a student leader in Campus Recreation.

Counseling services are available to students by calling 650-2842 or visiting the Counseling Health Services Office in the Student Success Center lower level adjacent to the Morris University Center.

Memorial Service for Cole Rosenberger is Today

You are invited to attend a memorial service for Cole Rosenberger, a School of Engineering student, who passed away at the end of July 2016.

Rosenberger was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and would have started his sophomore year during this fall semester.

Get Your Seasonal Flu Vaccines, First Clinic Oct. 4

Health Service has received our shipment of flu vaccine, and we are pleased to offer flu vaccine to faculty, staff, retirees and students.

Employees covered under a State health plan:
Health Service is able to provide flu shots to employees and retirees who are the primary insurer in a State sponsored insurance plan at no charge. Employees must document the last four digits of your social security number, present your university ID and your state health insurance card in order to receive the vaccine at no charge. Retirees must present your state health insurance card and document the last four digits of their social security number in order to receive the vaccine at no charge.

Employees not covered under a State health plan:
Health Service has two options for you this year.

  • You may receive the immunization at a cost of $30 (cash or check) from SIUE Health staff; OR
  • You may receive the vaccine from Gateway Regional Health staff (adjacent to our flu clinic location) on campus. If you choose Gateway, please bring your ID and insurance card to use when completing claim form documentation.

Please plan to wear clothing for easy access to the upper arm injection site.

WALK-IN Flu Shot Clinics will be available in the Lower Level of the Student Success Center. In order for us to continue to provide dedicated nursing service to our students during this time, we will use the meeting rooms close to our clinical office. There will be signs to identify the appropriate place.

The 2016 Study Abroad Fair will showcase SIUE faculty-led programs, which is the University's international partner institutions, affiliate companies and services.

Faculty and staff can encourage students to attend to learn more about study abroad at SIUE. Students will hear from study abroad veterans, and talk with faculty leaders as well as program and service providers.

Faculty interested in leading future abroad programs are also welcome to ask questions.
