U.S. News Rates SIUE a Top 15 Midwest Regional Public University

U.S. News & World Report ranks SIUE among the best Regional Universities Midwest for the 13th consecutive year and among the top 15 public universities in that category.

SIUE is also rated among the top Midwest Regionals for least amount of student debt upon graduation. The listing is in the magazine’s “Best Colleges of 2017” issue that was released Tuesday, Sept. 13.

SIUE was featured at number 63 in this year’s rankings of 163 Regional Universities Midwest. The University is 13th overall among public universities in that category.

The U.S. News overall scores are based on the reputation of SIUE in higher education, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

Submit a Nomination for SIUE Student of the Month

The Kimmel Student Involvement Center, in partnership with the Edwardsville Rotary, is pleased to accept nominations for an SIUE Student of the Month. Individuals selected for this award will be recognized at the Rotary meeting the following month, and will be recognized at the annual Kimmel Leadership Awards Ceremony in April.
 
SIUE students must be nominated by someone else (can be students, faculty or staff). No self-nominations will be considered. Applications are accepted on an on-going basis, and should be received by the 16th of the month to be considered for that month's award.

Any nominees not selected for one month, will be considered for the following months. Awards will be given for September through April each academic year.

 18 holes of golf with golf cart.

SIUE's Society for Women Engineers (SWE) teamed up with Ameren and Dress For Success to provide free professional attire to students. Stop by the Engineering Building Hairpin:

Volunteer for SIU School of Dental Medicine's Give Kids a Smile Event, Oct. 10

The SIU School of Dental Medicine is now signing up volunteers for the 2016 Give Kids a Smile event:

Free comprehensive dental care will be provided for children from low-income families between the ages of 3-13 years.
