Attend Today's Library and Information Services Open House

Library and Information Services will conduct its sixth open house:

10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Today

The theme for this year’s open house is Conquer the Library, and incorporates a video-game concept.

The goal of the LIS Open House is to familiarize new students, especially freshmen, with the various resources and services that are essential to their tenure at SIUE. A secondary purpose is to acquaint faculty and upperclassmen with services and resources.

There will be six interactive workstations to engage students, including:
• 3D printing – (3D models and the service)
• Access Services/ILL (displaying equipment that can be checked out and interlibrary loan services)
• Library home page navigation
• Ask-a-librarian, personal librarians and research consultations
• Call numbers – (students will put several resources in call number order)
• Fun stuff - displaying popular fiction titles, CDs, and DVDs.
