The Army ROTC Cadre and staff cordially invites faculty, staff and students to the Army ROTC Commissioning Ceremony:

Please consider volunteering to help welcome new SIUE students.

The first impressions that these students experience during this orientation program can have a lasting impact on their connection to the University.

Faculty and staff to accompany new students and upper-class student leaders on the Class of 2020 service project.

This activity puts our SIUE value of citizenship into action. We are providing service to seven community agencies in the Metro East: Arlington Wetlands, Granite City Community Garden, Grassroots Grocery/Hellrung Park/Hunterstown neighborhood (Alton), Jamie Hines Discovery Park, La Vista CSA Farm, Watershed Nature Center and Willoughby Farm.

Bus transportation from Lot B is provided or you are welcome to meet at one of the service sites.

Popular Construction Leadership Institute 2017 Now Open

Success in the highly competitive building industry requires exceptional leadership, management and communication skills. The innovative Construction Leadership Institute (CLI) has packaged those skills into a convenient, accelerated, nine-week program. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is now accepting registrations for the 2017 session of this highly popular program. 

Over the course of its 14-year history, CLI has seen many of its more than 300 graduates advance to prominent positions across the building industry.

The 2017 CLI will convene on nine-consecutive Fridays:

7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
Jan. 13-March 10
SIUE campus
 

CLI is a joint program of the SIUE School of Business and the School of Engineering’s Department of Construction.

The curriculum is designed to develop and hone leadership as well as effective communications skills.  Other segments focus on crucial professional skills such as strategic thinking, networking, negotiation, finance, construction contracts, insurance and bonding, risk management, and conflict management. The instructional team includes building industry professionals and subject matter experts.
