Workers Compensation Overview Session

The Office of Human Resources will hold a Workers Compensation (WC) overview session for SIUE employees who supervise others and handle WC requests.

This session is intended for supervisors and above, as we will cover the administrative duties, explain the employee benefits and discuss the overall procedure that should be followed in case of an injury.
 
Registration is required so that sufficient materials and space will be available. Please RSVP to Tayanna Crowder, benefits counselor, at tcrowde@siue.edu. Include your name, 800-number (Banner/University ID), job title, department and the number of staff you supervise. You will receive a confirmation email upon registration.

Sponsored Projects Forum, Today

The Office of Research and Projects division of the Graduate School is hosting a Sponsored Projects Forum:

Any individuals involved in the sponsored research process, including faculty, department grant administrators and departmental financial managers are encouraged to attend. There will be multiple presentations covering every aspect of the sponsored research and award process.

Topics for this semester’s forum will include:

  • HR Considerations in Sponsored Research: the hiring process on grants and the Affordable Care Act
  • Public Access Requirements of Federal Funded Research and how Lovejoy Library can assist
  • FISMA and the IT security requirement of Federal Funders
  • ORP updates related to sponsored research

SIUE's Department of Theater and Dance will present The Trojan Women in Dunham Hall Theater:

Tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, non-SIUE students, and SIUE retirees, alumni, faculty and staff. SIUE students with a valid I.D. get in free, and all seating is general admission.

Mississippi River Festival-Revisited, May 21

The Mississippi River Festival-Revisited! concert series is set for May through July at venues on the SIUE campus. The three-concert series is sponsored by TheBank of Edwardsville and presented by Carmen Concerts.
 
The series begins Saturday, May 21, when Pure Prairie League and original vocalist Craig Fuller play at the Meridian Ballroom in the Morris University Center.
 
Tickets for Pure Prairie League are priced at $30, $40 and $50 (VIP seating), and are available at www.ticketreturn.com. Future concerts in the series will be announced soon.

Women's Basketball Summer Camp Dates Announced

SIUE Women's Basketball has announced details on its annual summer camps being offered in the Vadalabene Center.

June 10 - Elite Camp
This camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is open to players of all skill levels entering grades 9-12.

June 11-12 - Varsity Team Camp
This camp is varsity level competition and is open to all high school teams.

June 13-16 - All-Skills Day Camp
This camp is open to players entering grades 3-8. Campers can choose either the full-day option from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or mornings only from 9 a.m.-noon.

June 17 - Shooting Camp
Players entering grades 3-8 will be in a session from 9 a.m. to noon. Players entering grades 9-12 will be in a session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
