Motivating employees has never been a one size fits all approach. As today’s organizations become more diverse, the need to understand what makes employees tick becomes increasingly important. Motivation is part of the performance equation. Therefore, in order to increase performance for your department and for your organization, you need to understand the power of motivation. Jenni Hunt, instructor in the SIUE Department of Management and Marketing, has developed a hands-on session that will provide participants the understanding necessary to create a motivational culture throughout the organization. She will share stories, techniques and practice scenarios to help participants master the art of motivating across generations.

We’ll start by exploring the varied aspects of emotional intelligence, self and social awareness, and self and relationship management, then move into emotionally intelligent leadership practices.
