Doris A. Hardwick, 1963-2025; Office Support Associate
Doris Hardwick, a longtime employee of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2025. She served the University for more than 30 years and retired in 2014.
After beginning her career in Dining Service, Hardwick worked in the School of Education, Special Education, the University Museum and Student Housing during her time at SIUE.
Born March 26, 1963, in Alton, Hardwick was remembered as someone who loved children and animals and was often described as never having met a stranger. She resided in Roxana, Ill.,
Funeral arrangements were handled by Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home, Bethalto, Ill., with services held Monday, Dec. 15.
