Timothy “Tim” Benson Patrick, of Granite City, died Saturday, Oct. 2 in Glen Carbon. He was 79.
An organic chemist, Patrick was a faculty member in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Chemistry from September 1969 until his retirement as a Distinguished Research Professor in August 2015.
Visitation will be held at the Thomas Saksa Funeral Home in Granite City from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
