Krystyna Minnick, 1947-2021; Was Business Alumna

Krystyna (Nigra) Minnick, of Lake Zurich, died Monday, March 8. She was 73.
A native of Germany, Minnick was one of the original students enrolled in the Management Information System Program (MIS) at SIUE. She earned a bachelor’s in business administration with honors in 1982, with concentrations in both MIS and professional accounting.
Minnick came to America with her parents, Bill and Maria Kopecki, who are forever grateful to the Presbyterian Church in Collinsville for sponsorship to the U.S. and eventual citizenship.
The Davenport Family Funeral Home in Lake Zurich is managing the arrangements.
