Dale Schaefer, 1936-2021; Was Former Lecturer in Dept. of Geography

Dale R. Schaefer, of Alton died Wednesday, Sept. 22 in Godfrey. He was 85.
Schaefer worked full-time in the Department of Geography’s Office of Contract Archaeology from 1989-97 before transitioning to a part-time lecturer role until his full retirement from the University in June 2005.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 and continue until a 10 a.m. memorial service at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Godfrey.
