BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Following a strong showing at the Dolenc Invitational, SIUE senior golfer Preston Bily (Indianola, Iowa) has been named the co-Golfer of the Week in the Ohio Valley Conference.
Bily came within a stroke of his best 54-hole total, finishing at 205 (-8) to take third place overall at SIUE's home event. He carded the second-lowest round of his career with a 67 in the second round.
Bily's round helped to lead SIUE to its 12th top-three finish in 16 years at the event. The award is the second OVC weekly award in Bily's career.
He shared the award with Morehead State's Seamus Bogan, who tied Bily for third at the Dolenc Invitational.
SIUE golf heads to Arkansas State Monday and Tuesday for the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
