Alpha Sigma Tau’s Beta Eta Chapter at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Recognized with Three National Awards at 46th Convention

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Beta Eta Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Tau was recently recognized by the National Organization for demonstrating excellence within the 2024-2026 biennium. Awards were announced at the sorority’s 46th National Convention in Minneapolis, Minn., June 11-14.
The Beta Eta Chapter was recognized with three national awards—the Chapter Branding Excellence: Marketing & Communications Awards, the Chapter Branding Excellence: Video Award, and the Growth Excellence Award.
The Chapter Branding Excellence: Marketing & Communications Award is presented to chapters exhibiting the best use of social media, website content and additional marketing mediums to promote their chapter and the Sorority experience. The Chapter Branding Excellence: Video Award is presented to chapters exhibiting the best use of a values-based promotional video that realistically portrays the chapter's membership and the chapter experience. The Growth Excellence Award is presented to chapters exhibiting a culture of excellence and commitment to membership recruitment.
The Beta Eta Chapter was the only collegiate chapter to receive the Chapter Branding Excellence: Video Award at the 46th National Convention.
Since its establishment at SIUE in 1972, more than 1,000 women have been initiated into the Beta Eta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau. Today, the chapter continues to provide women at SIUE with a community of belonging, personal and professional development opportunities, and an outlet to contribute to the local Edwardsville community.
Eight members along with the Chapter President Michalee Clevenger were present to accept the award. Member Development Advisor and Beta Eta Chapter alumna Tanna Zitta Reiter and Operations and Finance Advisor Nicole Noyse France were also in attendance.

Our marketing team pours their heart and soul into embodying our sisterhood through media each and every year, and it is incredibly rewarding to see their commitment and creativity celebrated," said Clevenger. "Last year's recruitment video holds a special place in our hearts as it truly embodied who we are, our values, and the connections we have formed together. We were also proud to be recognized for excellence in our recruitment, which is a result of the collective, extensive effort we all contribute to growing our sisterhood. We are proud to represent SIUE on a national level and look forward to continuing building upon Alpha Sigma Tau's legacy of excellence."
