Keith Harris Appointed Director for Web Strategy for SIUE Marketing and Communications
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Executive Director of Marketing and Communications Paula Bridges has named Keith Harris as the new Director for Web Strategy for SIUE Marketing and Communications Harris began his tenure on Monday, June 29.
Harris has a 25-year career in digital marketing, web administration, integrated marketing solutions and launching new platforms. His leadership experience consists of hiring, training and managing teams. He prioritizes building relationships and strategic alliances among senior leadership, management teams, technology teams, agency partners, customers, vendors and employees.
"I am honored to join SIUE and contribute to an institution that is making a meaningful impact on students, faculty, staff, and the broader region,” said Harris. “I look forward to leveraging digital strategy, web technology, and data-driven marketing to strengthen engagement, improve user experiences, and support the University's mission and growth."
An internship with the Los Angeles Rams led to a 13-year career with the organization, where Harris advanced through manager and director-level positions in digital media and business development. He led digital strategy and operations across websites, social media, mobile applications, email marketing, e-commerce platforms, and content initiatives. In these roles, he managed complex digital projects, vendor partnerships, budgets, analytics, user experience, and cross-functional teams while helping drive fan engagement and revenue growth.
Throughout his career, Harris has held leadership positions spanning financial services, healthcare, retail, and professional sports. Recently, he served as Assistant Vice President/Sr. Digital Marketing Manager for First Bank, where he led integrated marketing initiatives, digital strategy, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. He also served in senior marketing leadership roles with EyeCare Partners and Staples, overseeing digital marketing, customer engagement, CRM strategy, campaign development, reporting, and performance optimization.
Harris is active in the St. Louis community.
