Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Chancellor Dr. James T. Minor was profiled by Greater St. Louis, Inc. for his work linking student success to regional economic growth. The feature notes that SIUE is now the region's leading provider of bachelor's degrees, generated nearly $1.3 billion in economic impact in 2023, and saw 6.5% enrollment growth from spring 2025 to spring 2026. 

The article also highlights SIUE GO, the university's tuition assistance program for qualifying Missouri students, and the new 176,000-square-foot Health Sciences Complex on the Edwardsville campus.
