Academic Guidelines: While the Panhellenic Council does not set or require a specific grade point average to join, all Panhellenic sororities at SIUE do set a GPA requirement for membership.  The minimum cumulative grade point average requirement for our five Panhellenic sororities ranges between a 2.70 - 2.80.

Financial Responsibility: Being a member of a Panhellenic sorority comes with a financial commitment.  While you will learn more in-depth financial information during Round 1 of Primary Recruitment, we want to be transparent that on average, a woman who joins a Panhellenic sorority will pay $557.89 during her first semester in the organization.  This will be your most expensive semester in the sorority; after your first semester, your cost of membership goes down.  We strongly encourage you ask all of your questions about finances during that first round of recruitment so you have a good idea of what you are paying for with your membership dues.

Please make arrangements to attend as many nights of recruitment as you possibly can. Missing multiple recruitment events may harm your chances of receiving a bid to join the sorority of your choice. We ask that you please limit your outside commitments, beyond classes.  Do not skip any academic courses for recruitment.

Check out our "Find A Friend" application opportunity!  You and a friend can each complete the Find a Friend Application and mail it in together and the cost per person will only be $30.00 until July 31.  Between August 1 – 21, the cost per person who take advantage of our "Find A Friend" application will be $40.00.

Find a Friend applications and payment must be received by the SIUE Panhellenic Council no later than Tuesday, August 21 at 12:00 p.m. in order to register for 2018 Sorority Primary Recruitment.
