What is Hope Animal Rescues?

Hope Animal Rescues is a non-profit corporation and their mission is one of compassion for the homeless and rehabilitation for the physically and mentally abused.  The organizational goals are to promote spay/neuter, stop the use of gas chambers to kill our homeless pets, and to educate people on how to treat all animals with respect and dignity.

What will the volunteers do?

Volunteers will start at 9am and most volunteers are done by noon.  You won't work alone.. the organization always strive to have at least two volunteers per building which houses only 16 dogs.  Afterwards, you are welcome to take a dog of your choice to one of the play yards, for a walk on their beautifully manicured walk path through nature, out for a ride and an ice cream or a happy meal, the possibilities are limitless.

  • Participants need to wear suitable clothing and sturdy shoes.
  • Transportation will be provided.
  • Free, however, advance registration is required.
  • RSVP via GetInvolved@SIUE (see below).
