Cougar Cupboard Food Pantry


COVID-19 Pandemic Operations Update  

The Cougar Cupboard will remain closed during SIUE's pandemic operations schedule to adhere to social distancing requirements.

In an effort to address the unprecedented challenges and needs during this time,  food & toiletry drive-thru/pick-ups for students, staff, & faculty will be scheduled on the following days/times:

Thursday, May 7
11am - 1pm
Lot B near the SSC entrance

Simply pull up to the curb and show your Cougar ID.  We will operate while supplies last & boxes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. 

A box with food and toiletries will be placed in the trunk or back seat of your car. If you walk up for a box, please keep physical distancing guidelines in mind when you arrive (if you have a mask, please consider wearing). 


Food donation drop-offs are scheduled on the following days/times:

An online food drive is also available from April 27 - May 31.

The SIUE Cougar Cupboard Food Pantry provides food assistance to students in times of need, helping them to meet their basic needs and attain their educational goals.

Where is the Cougar Cupboard located?
The Cougar Cupboard is located on the 2nd floor of the Morris University Center. Take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor. Follow signage toward the International Room. The Cougar Cupboard is directly across the hall from the International Room. 

What are the operating hours?
Spring Semester* hours are  Monday (5 pm—7 pm) Tuesday (1 pm—4 pm) and Wednesday (1 pm—4 pm).

Who may use the food pantry?
The pantry is available to any student, faculty, or staff with a valid SIUE ID.

How much do items at the food pantry cost?
Nothing! All items are free to our guests.

How much food does an individual receive?
Students visiting the Cougar Cupboard receive enough food for each family member residing in their household to eat for approximately 3 days.

What items are available?
Non-perishable food items and toiletries.
