Open Educational Resources in Higher Education
On Tuesday, April 8, Director of Global Learning at Creative Commons Dr. Cable Green spoke with SIUE faculty and staff at Morris University Center about the use of Open Educational Resources (OER) in higher education. OER are teaching, learning, and research materials in any medium that reside in the public domain or are under an open license. These resources are free and, in many cases, users can modify the materials to fit specific learning situations. ITS will be sponsoring an OER pilot starting this summer, which will investigate how the University might move toward using more digital content.
