"My instructor can't see my portfolio. How do I fix this?"
The instructions above are the only ones that will allow faculty members to view students portfolio. Some faculty mistakenly tell students to share their portfolio documents by altering the Permissions option for the folders in the My Content area. When students share files and folders in this manner, faculty members report that they "cannot see the portfolio." In order to share a portfolio so that faculty members can view it properly, students follow the directions listed above.
"My instructor can see my portfolio but s/he reports one or more of the links do not work. How do I fix this?
There is a known issue in Blackboard that causes newly created navigational items appear as plain text to those with whom the portfolio has been shared, rather than as links. Follow these steps to fix the problem:
- On the My Portfolios page, hover over the portfolio title and click the drop-down arrow.
- Select Link Checker from the drop-down menu.
- Check the box in front of the folder(s) on this page. Click the Repair button.
- Click the OK button to confirm that repairs can be made to the links.
