University Housing

The 2023-2024 Resident Assistant application is closed. 

RA Qualifications

• Turn in a completed application by the appropriate deadline: Friday, December 9^th at 11:59pm.
• Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA by the time you assume the position (RAs are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA).
• Cannot be graduating before May 2024.
• Cannot be involved with a full-time internship/co-op, student teach, or enrolled in the School of Pharmacy program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
• Have lived in University Housing for at least one full semester by the time you would begin as an RA (summer is counted as a semester).
• Be in good financial, academic, and behavioral conduct standing with the University.

RA Application Process

• Online Application deadline: Friday, December 9^th at 11:59pm.
• RA Candidate Workshops: January 16^th – February 3^rd
  • Candidates will be expected to attend a workshop each week for three weeks.
  • The workshops will allow Housing staff to see candidates in scenarios they may encounter in the RA role.
• RA Candidate Individual Interview: February 6^th – 10^th
  • Candidates will participate in an interview with a few Housing staff to answer questions about the RA role.

2023 – 2024 RA Important Dates

• Attend 2-hour Orientation Meeting in the Spring
• Attend Fall RA Training 2 weeks before the start of Fall semester
• Attend 2-hour RA leadership course on Thursday or Friday afternoons, non-credit, no cost
• Attend January RA Training 1 – 2 weeks before the start of Spring semester
