General Assistantship (2428-2025)

Qualifications

Proficient and experience with MS Office, Access and SQL coding for querying data. This position is well-suited for graduate students with an interest in leveraging technology to create timely reports, develop interactive data visualizations and analyze business processes.

Position Description

The GA position will provide assistance in the creation of multiple enrollment and retention models and reports for the University and will be expected to execute standard reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Power BI report creation and maintenance is included as a responsibility, which ties directly to enrollment, student success, and revenue generation. By providing timely data and visualizations in support of recruitment and retention, this position helps upper-level administration plan and project upcoming enrollment. In addition, the reports help drill into opportunities that may be under-performing, such as low-yield from certain regions which can then be addressed in a timely manner in order to fill incoming student cohorts (enrollment and revenue). The position also helps maintain retention and graduation rate dashboards in order to gauge student success and compare SIUE's performance to peer institutions.
