Research Assistantship

Qualifications

Previous experience with human subjects data and quantitative and/or qualitative analysis in social sciences or education. Strong background in statistical analysis and experience with SPSS and/or R. Has the ability to communicate well in speaking and writing with a variety of audiences, is well-organized in a professional setting, and is self-motivated and enthusiastic in completing tasks in a dynamic work environment. Prior work with K-12 students preferred. Applicants must be enrolled in Master’s or Doctoral program and carry a minimum of six credit hours of course work each semester.

Position Description

The Center for STEM Research, Education, & Outreach seeks a graduate research assistant to support the organization, analysis, interpretation, dissemination of STEM education research, and support K-12 educational research and programming. The assistant will help manage the collection and analysis of human subjects data associated with prior and ongoing grant-funded educational programming and research. The assistant will work closely with STEM Center faculty to develop written content for academic presentations, publications, and outreach. The assistant will gain valuable career experience working in a collaborative, team-based environment.
