Instructions for SLAM Presenters
This event is to be engaging and enlightening for the audience, so you will want to structure your presentation for an educated lay audience – college students and faculty. Your presentation can be a maximum of 5 minutes and can be in any format (PowerPoint, reading, soliloquy, etc.). We encourage you to view this video that gives some insight into the type of presentations at these types of events.
You must attend the entire slam event, which is scheduled Wednesday, April 4th, 2018, from 11:00–11:45 am. You are encouraged to attend the award presentation at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Meet Daleana Wylde, Chief Clerk of The Graduate School, in the MUC Meridian Ballroom at 10:30 a.m. that day.
For those using PowerPoint, you will load your presentation and receive instructions on how to use the equipment. This time is also an opportunity to become familiar with the space and set-up. We will explain how the slam will proceed, including the order of presentations.
