SIUE IRB Seeking Prisoner Representative

To review research involving prisoners, SIUE’s IRB must have a prisoner representative. A prisoner representative must have a close working knowledge as well as understanding and appreciation of prison conditions from the prisoner's perspective. This expertise may come from having been a prisoner or working with prisoners. Most of the IRBs work is done asynchronously online but full board reviews require a scheduled meeting. All IRB members must have up-to-date human subjects training, which you can complete if chosen to serve. If you are interested, email your qualifications to researchcompliance@siue.edu
