Compliance Highlight - CITI Biosafety training course is now available

A new Biosafety training course has recently been added to the SIUE Compliance Training curriculum and is now available through the CITI program. Training certification is valid for 3 years and project personnel will have two course options to choose from based on biosafety level.
“Group 1: BSL-1” is encouraged for those persons involved in research activity at Biosafety Level 1.
“Group 2: BSL-2” is required for all project personnel involved in research activity classified as Biosafety Level 2 or higher. Personnel taking this course must also choose one elective from four options that most closely aligns with the focus of the project. Once completed, the CITI system will provide you with a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is a required attachment when submitting an application in the new electronic version of Application for Biohazardous Material Use.
