An Orientation to NIH Grants & Review Webinar
Posted October 20, 2021
The Office of Research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Grainger College of Engineering is pleased to announce a presentation by Dr. Raul Rojas from the Center for Scientific Review at the US National Institutes of Health on NIH extramural funding, the peer review process, and resources available to successfully navigate the NIH.
The Center for Scientific Review (CSR) organizes the peer review groups or study sections that evaluate the majority (75%) of the research grant applications sent to NIH. CSR is also the gateway for all NIH grant applications, as well as for some other components of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, assigning grant applications to review groups and to institutes/centers for funding consideration.
