Compliance Highlight: The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) for Drone Operators

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires all drone/UAS pilots flying recreationally to pass The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST). The free, online test provides important aeronautical and safety information to recreational flyers and must be passed prior to flying. For more details on recreational flight requirements and a list of the FAA approved TRUST administrators, please visit the FAA recreational flyer site.
To fly a drone or other UAS for recreational activities at SIUE, please see section III B of University Policy 6F4: www.siue.edu/policies/6f4.shtml. To fill out the required Facility Use License Agreement, please click here and choose that this application is for “Recreational Use.”
