Need new collaborators? Too busy for traditional networking? Join us for a Speed Networking Event to identify potential collaborators in applying for the SIU Collaborative Grant 2021!

Practice your 3-minute “elevator speech” as you participate in a fast-paced, fun event meant to expose you to the research on campus and inspire you to establish new, productive relationships. Researchers will share their topics in an accelerated fashion with a group of researchers sharing similar interests.
Interested attendees must register for their respective events. Seats are limited. Some preparation required—an inquiring mind and willingness to talk to others are a must!

Instructions for Participants
- Please register for the June 8thSpeed Networking event. This will be the roster to whom the ZOOM link will be sent to participate.
- Complete the participant A sample template can be found here.
- Forward the completed template to siueresearch@siue.edu no later than June 4th.
- Create a 3-minute ‘elevator speech’ about your research and needs for collaboration.
Speed Networking Format
Each registered attendee will have exactly 3 minutes to present information about his/her research. The presentation may address ongoing and/or planned projects. Highlight projects that require collaboration across disciplines. Remember that your audience may not be familiar with your field, so a brief explanation of the context of your research is recommended. NO POWER POINTS ARE ALLOWED. A timer will be used to time each presentation, and each presenter will be stopped at the end of 3 minutes, even if in the middle of a sentence.
