New Pre-Award Spending Approval Process

The pre-award spending approval form is now within Kuali Build.  You can access the request in externally-sponsored project forms. 

 If allowed by sponsor guidelines, completion of this form authorizes the Office of Research and Projects to establish a 6-account prior to receipt of an official Notice of Award (NOA) or contract from the sponsor for new awards and allow continued spending on continuing awards that have NOT received an official NOA or contract from the sponsor for the current year of funding.

 A pre-award spending procedure is only advisable if all of the following are true. 1) You’ve received unofficial notice from the sponsor regarding funding. 2) The award will have a retro-active start date or the sponsor is willing to pay pre-award costs. 3) The absence of an account number to charge expenses to will negatively impact the project.

Help SIUE Improve Our Research Integrity Climate

Graduate faculty and graduate students have been invited to participate in a survey to help improve the research integrity climate at SIUE.   The survey consists of 28 questions about local research climates and several classification questions; it will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.  Please use the link in the email you received on April 27 or a subsequent reminder email to complete your survey.
