New Research Doctoral Student Supplemental Funding Program

The Graduate School is pleased to announce a new supplemental funding program to enable the extension of an externally sponsored project beyond the funded scope of work through funding a research assistantship for a research doctoral student. The program is available starting for sponsored projects awarded in FY21 (i.e., awarded since July 1, 2020). To apply for funding for a supplemental research doctoral assistantship, the following requirements must be met.
- There is an awarded externally sponsored project other than an internship agreement.
- The supervisor is PI or co-PI on the award. (Key personnel may be considered; justification will have to be provided.)
- The award funds one or more doctoral student RAs for no less than half the project period.
