Attention: All GA Contract Originators

Beginning this spring, the Graduate School will be moving to paperless/electronic contracts called Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAF) for all Graduate Assistants. An EPAF is a paperless alternative to submit and approve appointment and change forms through CougarNet. The HR Systems and Compliance Department will be hosting a training in conjunction with the Graduate School for the processes to originate EPAFs. This will include information on the electronic process for the student which will be administered by the Graduate School.

Prior to the trainings, we ask that everyone who currently or will be processing GA contracts submit the following:

• a SARF to ITS requesting “Banner-SSB-Admin”
• the HR access request for EPAF Originator Access through the HR Systems SharePoint site. Instructions on how to request access are attached in this email.

All training materials for EPAF Originator Trainings will be provided at the training session and will be available on the HR Systems SharePoint site in the Training Library.

Trainings will be held during the month of March. Please sign up here for a session which best fits your schedule. The Graduate School will no longer be accepting paper GA contracts, job change requests, and termination forms as of 4/16/20. Because of this, it is very important to gain access and complete the training well in advance of 4/16/20.

If you are a fiscal officer or proxy on a budget purpose number used to fund a GA position than you will also be an EPAF approver. Approvers will receive separate training materials and instructions in mid-March. It is not necessary for approvers to attend the training referred to in this message.
