NIH Current and Pending Changes: Image Use
NIH no longer allows images to be included in the Abstract section of proposals. In the near future images will no longer be allowed in the specific aims as well. Currently you will receive an ‘warning’ if images are included in the specific aims section but this warning will not prevent the proposal from being successfully submitted at this time. The warning was activated for the specific aims section to prepare PIs for this change according to NIH.
