What is the format of Family Weekend 2022?
SIUE Family Weekend will be an in-person experience this year.
Does my family need to attend every event during Family Weekend?
No, your family can pick and choose which events they would like to attend!
What if my student or a family member needs an accommodation to participate in the events on campus during Family Weekend?
If your student or a family member needs an accommodation, please contact the office of Accessible Campus Community & Equitable Student Support (ACCESS) at myaccess@siue.edu.
What options are there for my family in St. Louis?

Registration
What is included in registration for Family Weekend?
The $20.00 registration fee includes: access to all in-person events throughout Family Weekend and t-shirts!
Who can register for Family Weekend?
Family Weekend is open to the friends and families of all currently enrolled students. Currently enrolled students may live on or off campus.
Do SIUE students need to register for the weekend?
Yes, SIUE students need to register. Registration is discounted for SIUE students and includes a t-shirt, but they must be registered in advance. Students must be registered by Monday, October 3rd at 12:00 noon to guarantee a t-shirt.
The guaranteed t-shirt date has passed. Can my family still register?
Yes. After Monday, October 3rd at 12:00 noon, we cannot guarantee each participant will receive a t-shirt, but online registration will remain open until Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 PM.
Can I register the day of the event?
No. Registration will close on Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 PM.
How can I cancel my registration?
Cancellations/refund requests will be accepted until Friday, September 30th, 2022 at 4:00 PM. No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after that time. To request a refund, please contact Adana Robinson (adarobi@siue.edu), Office Support Associate.
Check-In
How do I pick up my family’s registration materials?
Registration materials can be picked up in the Morris University Center (MUC), Goshen Lounge from 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM on Friday, October 14th.
Can students pick up registration packets on Friday if their family is not coming until Saturday?
Yes, students can pick up packets on Friday, October 14th in the MUC, Goshen Lounge, from 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM.
General Questions
If I am a family member, can I visit my student during this weekend?
Guests will be permitted in University Housing. For the fall 2022 semester, residents can host other SIUE community members and up to 3 non-SIUE community members in University Housing. Overnight guests will be permitted. Click here for more information.
How do event organizers know my family members are registered for Family Weekend?
Each participant will receive a wristband that will act as their ticket into events listed on the schedule.
Where are we allowed to park on campus?
Guests are able to park in most lots from 4:30 PM on Friday through Sunday. Yellow lots, or residential lots, are the exception and only individuals with yellow hang tags may park in these lots. If you arrive before 4:30 on Friday please park in Lot B. Lot B is a pay-by-space lot with a cost of $1.50 per hour. More info on parking can be found here.
Are dogs allowed in SIUE buildings?
No animals are permitted in University buildings or facilities, with the exception of the following: service animals for persons with disabilities; animals used by law enforcement or emergency personnel in the exercise of their official duties; animals used in academic programs for teaching or research; animals used in University sponsored or approved programs; or animals approved pursuant to University Housing resident guidelines, including emotional support or therapy animals for residents with disabilities.
