Getting Around
Below is some information about what you can expect on the first day of the SIUE Experience.
Parking Information
- All students with a vehicle on campus will need to purchase a parking pass through Parking Services. Information about parking pass options and pricing is available on the Parking Services website.
Move-In Information
- Residential students are able to move into their residence halls beginning on the Thursday before the first day of classes. Students will receive their official move-in time through communication from University Housing. University Housing provides a detailed checklist of what to bring and what not to bring to the residence halls. Visit the University Housing website for more information about living on campus.
Cougars Care
- Did you know that the SIUE Experience is a low-waste event? At SIUE, we are striving to practice more sustainable living through our Cougars Care initiative! This initiative was piloted during the 2020 Winter Welcome orientation program. During this year’s SIUE Experience, we plan to reach our sustainability goals by engaging in low-waste events and providing a temporary compost. Throughout the SIUE Experience, you will see bright yellow composting bins. During events where food is provided, Cougar Guides will be available to help you use the composting bins instead of throwing your waste into the trash. Although this compost is only going to be on SIUE’s campus during the SIUE Experience, it can still make a big difference for the environment!
