Job Description
The School of Nursing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is seeking candidates for four (4) full-time, tenured/tenure-track nursing faculty positions. Responsibilities of these positions include teaching in the School of Nursing, service to the School of Nursing and other constituencies relevant to the mission of the organization, and for scholarship relevant to the practice of nursing, the nursing profession, or the education of nurses.

SIUE undergraduate nursing programs include the traditional BS, the accelerated BS and the accelerated online RN-BS. The graduate level programs include the Masters of Science degree with two specializations: Nurse Educator (NE) and Health Care and Nursing Administration (HCNA). Doctoral level programs include three specializations: the online Post-Master's Doctor of Nursing Practice (PM DNP); the Nurse Anesthesia DNP (NA DNP); Family Nurse Practitioner DNP (FNP DNP) and the Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner DNP (PMH DNP).

Qualifications
Preferred candidates must have teaching experience and/or clinical experience in undergraduate or graduate programs in the area of medical-surgical, psychiatric-mental health, public health, family nurse practitioner, nurse anesthesia, or health care nursing administration. A Master’s in Nursing and a Doctorate (Ph.D., EdD, DNS, DNSc, DNP) is required for faculty position. Teaching experience and research experience preferred. Illinois and Missouri licenses or eligibility for such licenses is required.

Academic term, tenure-track/tenure position beginning mid-August 2021.
