Homecoming 2018: A Huge Success!
Before we tell you about last year, we have to tell you about this year! We can’t wait to welcome you and your family back to campus for SIUE Homecoming 2019. Mark your calendars for:
2019 Homecoming Plans
- Alumni Hall of Fame: Friday, Sept. 27
- We will honor the 2019 Hall of Fame class including the inaugural honoree from the SIUE School of Pharmacy!
- Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run & Pancake Breakfast: Saturday, Sept. 28
- Join us for a 5K/10K/1 mile run through campus with yummy pancakes from Chris Cakes and an alumni ale from Recess Brewing after the race! Help us support current SIUE scholarships with this great school tradition.
- Alumni Tailgate at Korte Stadium: Saturday, Sept. 28
- Join us in the newly paved parking lot of Korte Stadium for another great tailgate before the SIUE men’s soccer game. Live music, food, games, activities and prize giveaways for all!
Homecoming 2018: A Huge Success!
Thousands of SIUE alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends celebrated SIUE Homecoming 2018. The perfect weekend weather helped usher in record attendance for all Alumni Homecoming events!
The weekend kicked off with honoring and celebrating the newest honorees in the Alumni Hall of Fame.

The following morning, more than 400 runners and volunteers were up bright and early for the third annual Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run and Pancake Breakfast. This campus tradition helps fund scholarships for SIUE students and was a huge success!
Later that afternoon, over 500 SIUE alumni, family and friends gathered outside Korte Stadium for the Alumni Tailgate before the SIUE men’s soccer team took on Belmont University. Guests were treated to live music from local favorite Quarter Draw Band; munched on lots of free food from local restaurants including Big Daddy’s, Ravanelli’s, Bella Milano and Hansen Meat Co.; tasted an exclusive alumni ale from our friends at Recess Brewing; and enjoyed lots of fun activities including face painting, yard games and a bounce house for the kids!
