Online Reading Groups
Since 2009, SOAR has coordinated an online reading group for a selection of Johnetta Haley students. Over the years, we have covered Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers, Michelle Alexander's The New Jim Crow, Sheena Iyengar's The Art of Choosing, Isabel Wilkerson's The Warmth of Other Suns, Lauren Wilkinson's American Spy, and more than two dozen other titles. Students read the books and respond to a common set of questions on a public website.
