Free Dental Care at SIU School of Dental Medicine’s Inaugural Veteran’s Care Day, Nov. 15

SIU School of Dental MedicineThe Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIU SDM) will provide FREE dental care to veterans on Thursday, Nov. 15 during its inaugural Veteran’s Care Day.

Appointments are required, and may be scheduled by contacting the SIU SDM’s Valerie Donahue at 618-474-7200.

SIU SDM Student Earns National Scholarship for Academic Excellence and Giving Heart

SIU SDM Provides More Than $60,000 in Free Care During Give Kids a Smile Day

The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIU SDM) hosted its 13th annual Give Kids a Smile Day on Monday, Oct. 8.

Nearly 110 children between the ages of 3-13 received free comprehensive dental care valued at approximately $61,000 while also enjoying fun education activities highlighting the importance of oral health.

SIU SDM Alumnus Earns 2018 Distinguished Award from Illinois Wesleyan

The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine commends Steve Doran, DMD, for earning the 2018 Distinguished Alumnus Award from Illinois Wesleyan University.

Doran achieved his doctor of dental medicine at the SIU SDM in 1983, and is an oral surgeon in Bloomington.

NSF Funds SIUE Acquisition of Cutting-Edge Motion Capture and Analysis System
