On-Campus
- To support acceptance, coping and grieving, short-term options are available to students through Counseling Services, co-located with Health Service in the lower level of the Student Success Center (adjacent to the Morris University Center), suite 0222. By calling 618-650-2842, psychotherapists are available for the following:
- Crisis Support
- Individual Therapy
- Attend on-campus memorial events
- Facilitate group, classroom or team discussions/debriefings
- SIUE is now partnered with TimelyCare to deliver a new virtual health and well-being platform for students. Through either a mobile app or your desktop, TimelyCare provides 24/7 access to virtual care from anywhere in the United States at no cost. Visit timelycare.com/SIUE or download the TimelyCare app from your app store and register with your school email address. You can then start visits from any web-enabled device – smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop – anywhere in the United States.
Off-Campus
- Search for a Therapist with Path Mental Health
- Path is a mental health referral group that can help you find a high-quality therapist who is in-network with your health insurance. Path's services are open to all SIUE students, faculty and staff, and they have a broad and diverse network of Illinois therapists. The Path team will help you find the right therapist, understand your insurance benefits, and is available 7 days a week to help you feel supported in your search. - Breathe2Relax (iOS & Android)
- Stress management tool that teaches users a skill called diaphragmatic breathing. Breathe2Relax works by decreasing the body’s ‘fight-or-flight’ stress response.

- Allows you to learn more about anxiety, choose situations you need help with, check your level of anxiety, have access to tools to calm you, and help you actively decrease the level of anxiety.
