Co-ops and Internships
Now, more than ever, future employers expect college graduates to have relevant work experience. Gaining hands-on experience through an internship or co-op will give you an edge over the competition. You will gain a better understanding of the world of business, while gaining confidence and insight regarding your career path.
300 employers recruited SIUE business students through on-campus career fairs last year
SIUE’s proximity to St. Louis, home to nine Fortune 500 companies, allows students to gain real-world experience. Business students find internships, co-ops and full-time jobs with major corporations such as The Boeing Company, Nestle Purina, Emerson, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Anheuser-Busch, Edward Jones and more.
Office of Internship Services
To bridge the connection between academic work and real-world experience, the Office of Internship Services provides resources and opportunities for all business students. In collaboration with business faculty and the Career Development Center, the School of Business coordinates an internship program that provides students in all business disciplines the opportunity to receive academic credit for internship experience.
