Jill LaFreniere is an Instructor for CMIS who began her teaching career in 2000. During her years at SIUe she has taught introduction to computers, information systems for business, visual basic programming and c sharp programming. 
Not only does Jill have her MBA specializing in CMIS she also decided to go back and get a second master's degree in Exercise Physiology. She loves to teach for the CMIS department as well as to teach CrossFit for the YMCA.

Anne Powell Anne Powell CMIS Dr. Powell has 10 years corporate experience as a systems and business analyst. She has taught several courses at SIUE including: Systems Analysis & Design, Database Management, Intro to Programming Logic, COBOL programming, Systems Development Senior Capstone, and Information Systems for Business.  Her reserach has focused on virtual teams, the impact of new technology on individuals, teams, organizations and technology-enhanced education. Joe Vithayathil Joe Vithayathil CMIS

Joseph Vithayathil is an Assistant Professor of Computer Management and Information Systems in the School of Business at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He was previously in the technology industry and has extensive professional and entrepreneurial experience in global Information Technology and executive management. He serves on the board of directors of a technology company that designs, develops and produces energy efficient power semiconductors and subsystems using Silicon Carbide (SiC). Dr. Vithayathil teaches courses on e-commerce, Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, business analytics, security and cloud computing, and has taught graduate courses in marketing and the use of IT for management.

Dr. Vithayathil’s research interests are in the area of Economics of Information Systems and the application of Economic Theory, Agency Theory and the related issues of Moral Hazard, Adverse Selection, Information Asymmetry and Incentives in the context of Information Systems. Specific research topics include Governance of Information Technology, Corporate Governance, the impact of Cloud Computing and Social Media on organizations, and Corporate Social Responsibility. His research has been published in leading journals including Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), Management Information Systems Quarterly (MISQ), Information Systems Journal (ISJ)Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS), Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management (CSREM), and has a forthcoming article in International Journal of Information Technology and Management (IJITM).

He earned his a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, his MS in Systems Science and Mathematics from Washington University in St. Louis, his MBA from Harvard University, and his PhD in Management from the University of California, Irvine. Clay Williams Clay Williams CMIS  

Clay K. Williams is an associate professor in the Department of Computer Management and Information Systems in the School of Business at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and serves as the Director for the MS CMIS program. Dr. Williams had over 15 years of professional work experience prior to his Ph.D. with the vast majority in management and information systems consulting and project management. He teaches mostly graduate courses in project management, information systems strategy, enterprise systems and enterprise architecture, and the use of IS for management.

Dr. Williams’s research deals with applying the critical realism research paradigm in IS research, the processes of coordinating and IS governance, and the creation and ongoing use of IS. His work has appeared in premiere IS journals including MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, and European Journal of Information Systems, as well as other well-known journals such as Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce, Journal of Organizational and End User Computing and Government Information Quarterly. He currently serves as a senior editor for DATA BASE.

Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. in MIS from the University of Georgia and a MS in Management and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Visit Dr. Williams' Google Scholar page.
