The Institute for Urban Research (IUR) brings together the top experts of SIUE to investigate and discover solutions to the issues that affect life in urban and metropolitan areas. Business, government and community leaders rely on the IUR's expertise in urban issues, data analysis and project management to create applied research projects that benefit the entire region.
The IUR is a community partner
The IUR assists government, business and nonprofit clients in achieving their goals through fee-for-service arrangements in data collection and analysis, strategic planning, grant writing, project design and management. Through the Applied Research Collaborative, the IUR works with Saint Louis University and the University of Missouri-St. Louis to create better planned and easier to implement community improvement projects.
