What if caring for ourselves means caring for one another? This talk explores what Islam can teach us about living well through our relationships. But who does the caring, and on whose terms? Drawing on feminist critiques of traditional ideas about care, the talk asks how Islamic teachings can help us rethink both self-care and our responsibilities to others. It considers how caring for family, supporting our communities, and giving generously might become not burdens, but meaningful wellbeing.
