Research Interests

Dr. Fields is a comparative philosopher who has published on South Asian thought and culture, particularly the traditions of healing. He has produced, by means of collaborations, a number of publications and recordings concerning Native American thought, culture, and history, with a focus on the Pacific Northwest. Among his current concerns are sustainability and indigenous environmental knowledge.
