Assistant Professor, Biological Sciences

The Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We seek applicants with training in Biology and STEM Education. The successful candidate will share responsibility for teaching secondary science methods, supervising student teachers, preparing education program reports, and also offer upper-division courses in the candidate’s area of expertise or in non-majors courses in biology. Candidates should exhibit potential for independent and innovative research involving Master’s and undergraduate students.
Ph.D. in the biological sciences or doctorate in Education with a strong emphasis in biology. Pre-college teaching experience, post-doctoral teaching, and research experience in biology education are preferred.

Continuing academic year (nine month) appointment; tenure eligible.
